PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT MEMORIAL.

No. 2.

A RESOLUTION.

Whereas, the Hon. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, President of the United States, will honor the State of Georgia with his presence on the 8th day of December, 1937, and

Whereas there will be unveiled in the City of Gainesville, Georgia, a memorial in honor of Franklin Delano Roosevelt,

Therefore in respect to this great President of the United States, and in appreciation of his splendid efforts in the interest of humanity be it hereby resolved by the General Assembly of the State of Georgia, that the 8th day of December, 1937, be declared a holiday.

Be it further resolved that the Capitol of the State of Georgia be closed on the said date.

Be it further resolved that the General Assembly of the State of Georgia attend in a body the ceremony in honor of the President to be held at Gainseville, Georgia, at two-thirty o'clock (2.30) p.m. central standard time, December 8, 1937
