Conasauga River

The Conasauga River originates in Murray County, flows northward into Tennessee, where it flows briefly westward before turning back south and flowing into Murray County, Georgia again. From there the Conasauga flows southwestward into Gordon County, where it converges with the Coosawattee River to form the Oostanaula River. The Oostanaula River and Etowah River form the Coosa River at their confluence in Floyd County. The Coosa River then flows westward into Alabama, where it joins the Tallapoosa River to form the Alabama River. The Alabama River then flows southward into the Gulf of Mexico.
