Old Baldwin County Courthouse Postcard

Old Baldwin County Courthouse -- Early 1900s

Shown above is a photo of the Baldwin County's fourth courthouse, which was constructed in 1887 and used through 1996.The postcard, printed in Jermany, has has no postmark or other identification markings. However, it is similar in appearance to many German postcards produced prior to 1910. Because the post card has a space for personal messages on the address side (something that was not legal in the U.S. until March 1907), this photo probably was taken in 1907 or shortly thereafter.
