Bartow County Courthouse Postcard

Bartow County Courthouse -- Early 1900s

This postcard, published by the Ben C. Gilreath Drug Co. in Cartersville, Ga., shows a Confederate monument that was erected sometime after the courthouse's completion. The postcard has no postmark, but its address side has a space for a personal message, which federal law prohibited until March 1907. Likely, the photo was taken after the law was changed.
