Old Carroll County Courthouse Postcard

Old Carroll County Courthouse -- Early 1900s

Shown above is a photo of Carroll County's second courthouse, which was built in the 1880s and used until it burned in 1927. The postcard has a Jan. 7, 1913 postmark from Roopville, Ga. Because there is a space on the address side for a personal message (something prohibited by federal law until March 1907), the photo likely dates from 1907 to 1912.
