    Date Built: 1889

    Architectural Style: Romanesque Revival/Richardsonian

    Designer: William G. Preston

    Other Information:  See postcard for an early view of the 1889 Chatham County Courthouse. After a new judicial center was completed in 1978, the old courthouse underwent a $4.3 million renovation to serve some offices in the administrative and legislative branches of Chatham County government.
