Decatur County Courthouse Postcard

Decatur County Courthouse -- Early 1900s

Shown here is the Decatur County Courthouse (left) and Bon Air Hotel (right) in Bainbridge. The courthouse was completed in 1902 and still in use today. This postcard, printed in Germany, has a Sept. 17, 1907 postmark from Bainbridge, Ga. Because the address side has a space for personal messages on the address side (something that was not legal in the U.S. until March 1907), the photo dates to 1907 or later.
