Old Gordon County Courthouse -- Early 1900s

 

This postcard shows Gordon County's second courthouse, which was built in 1889 and was used until the current courthouse was completed in 1961. The postcard, which was printed in Germany for Rankin's Book Store, has a personal message dated Feb. 9, 1909. Because personal messages on the address side were not legal in the U.S. until March 1907, the photo probably dates to 1907 or 1908.
