    Houston County Courthouse 1948-2002

Architectural Style: Stripped Classical

Designer: E. Oren Smith

Other Information: This building served as Houston County courthouse from 1948 to November 2002, when a new courthouse opened several miles north of downtown Perry. County officials decided to renovate and enlarge the former courthouse for use by various county government agencies. Designed by JMA Architecture and built by Hogan Construction Group, the facility is scheduled for opening in 2005.
