Old Laurens County Courthouse

Laurens County Courthouse -- Early 1900s

This postcard was never mailed, so there is no postmark to help date it. However, the address side has a specific area for messages, which federal law prohibited on the address side prior to March 1907. The photo probably was taken sometime during the first decade of the 1900s.

Four "X's" appear along the lower left off the photo side of the postcard, along with a handwritten message that says:

"My shop is just about where the X mark is on the opposite side of the street."
