1838 Muscogee County Courthouse
1838 Muscogee County Courthouse

Muscogee County's 1838 courthouse was the second of four courthouses situated on the city block then bounded by Oglethorpe, Crawford, Jackson, and Thomas streets (but today bounded by Ninth and Tenth streets and First and Second avenues). The structure was torn down and replaced by an even larger courthouse in 1896.
