Old Muscogee County Courthouse

Muscogee County Courthouse -- Early 1900s

This hand-tinted postcard, printed in Germany, bears an Oct. 8 postmark from Columbus, Ga. -- but the cancellation does not show a year. There is a space on the address side for a personal message, something that became legal in March 1907. Otherwise, there are no identification marks to indicate the year the photograph was taken or the postcard printed. Presumably, the photo was taken in the early 1900s.
