Old Polk County Courthouse

Polk County Courthouse -- Early 1900s

This postcard, printed in Germany, shows the Polk County courthouse that was built in 1889-90 and used until 1951. The card bears a Mar. 2, 1912 postmark from Cedartown. Because the card has a space for a personal message on the address side (which federal law prohibited until March 1907), the above photo probably was taken between 1907 and 1911.
