Old Richmond County Courthouse -- Early 1900s

 

The central portion of the Richmond County courthouse was built in 1820, with the wings added in 1870. The postcard shown above has Feb. 7, 1906, postmark from Augusta, Ga. Beneath the photo on the postcard is a notation, "Copyright, 1903, by Detroit Photographic Co." This means that the photo was taken no later than 1903.
