Old Whitfield County Courthouse -- Early 1900s

 

This postcard bears a Dalton postmark dated July 2, with the year appearing to be 1908 or 1909. The above courthouse was completed in 1891. Because the postcard's address side has a space for a personal message (which federal law prohibited until March 1907), the photograph probably was taken in 1907 or 1908.
