Georgia Constitution Web Page

This web site is administered by a three-member board of editors. Serving as editor-in-chief is Melvin B. Hill, Jr., Robert G. Stephens Jr. Senior Fellow in Law and Government at the University of Georgia's Carl Vinson Institute of Government. From 1979 to 1982, Mr. Hill was assistant executive director of the Select Committee on Constitutional Revision, which drafted the Georgia Constitution of 1983.

Serving as co-editors of this site are Ed Jackson, Senior Public Service Associate at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government, and Cynthia Thompson, director of research for the Georgia General Assembly's Office of Legislative Counsel. Jackson also serves as webmaster for the Georgia Constitution Web Page.

Legal associate Chris Ledvinka is responsible for obtaining accurate versions of former state constitutions and amendments; OCR scanning of the 1877, 1945, and 1976 constitutions; and proofing all information on the web site. Nathan Williams was responsible for scanning earlier constitutions and the Georgia Charter of 1732.
