Future Location of Decatur County - 1822

Future Location of Decatur County, 1822

 

Outlined in red on this 1822 map is the southern portion of Early County used to form Decatur County in 1823. These boundaries were in effect for only two years, as the legislature in 1825 used portions of eastern Decatur County to create Thomas County.
