Henry O. Tanner First Day Cover

On Sept. 10, 1973, the U.S. Postal Service issued an 8-cent commemorative stamp honoring African-American artist Henry Ossawa Tanner. Shown above is one of several first day covers that were available with the Tanner stamp and the official first day of issue cancellation.
