Thomas W. Cobb

 

Thomas W. Cobb was born in Columbia County in 1784. He served Georgia for three terms as a U.S. Representative and one as a U.S. Senator, then as a superior court judge. He died in 1830; Cobb County was named in his honor in 1832.
