Question on Oglethorpe

- I am hoping you can answer a question for me. Did Oglethrope
have 747 men
- sent to America after they were in a mass trial in England
in 1747. I was
- told that he started a second colony with these men.
They were Jacobites that
- had been in the Scottish Rebellion of 1745 and he pleaded
their case. This
- was around Habersham County. Any help you could give
me or let me know where Oglethrope's papers are housed. This was to have
come from his papers.
