uga.eduMs. Jones provides management, organizational development, and leadership training for elected officials, managers, and supervisory staff in local governments throughout Georgia. Additionally, she facilitates meetings and retreats for both staff and elected government officials. Ms. Jones also currently serves as the coordinator for the Downtown Development Authority of the City of Monroe.
Prior to joining the Institute, Ms. Jones held positions in city government and the private sector in e-government technology. She has served as president of the University of Georgia College of Family and Consumer Sciences Alumni Association and was named the 1998 Blue Key Outstanding Young Alumnus for UGA and the 2002 Pacesetter Award Recipient for the College of Family and Consumer Sciences at UGA.
Fields of interest: management and leadership development, community and media relations, strategic planning for governments and nonprofit boards, customer service, team building and group dynamics, and communications.
