For more than 80 years, the Vinson Institute has worked with public officials throughout Georgia and around the world to improve governance and people's lives. From Georgia's early days as a largely agrarian state with a modest population to its modern-day status as a national and international force in business, industry, and politics with a population of almost 10 million, the Institute has helped government leaders navigate change and forge strong directions for a better Georgia.

Brian Freese

Brian Freese joined the Vinson Institute in 2013. He assists the associate director of the Office of Administration by providing day-to-day management of the business operations and financial affairs for the Institute. Prior to joining the Institute, he served in various administrative roles for six years at the University of Georgia. Most recently, he was university budget supervisor in the UGA Budget Office. A retired economic developer, he is a graduate of the Georgia Academy for Economic Development and the Economic Development Institute of the International Economic Development Council. He holds a professional certification as an Economic Development Finance Professional through the National Development Council.
