Mr. Machado is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing activities of the ITOS division's systems group, including maintenance of existing systems, development of new systems, and hardware maintenance. He provides technical assistance to ITOS staff and the unit director and is maintaining and expanding the division's technology base to be responsive to the needs of its GIS processing services.

Mr. Machado has more than ten years of experience, extensive training, field experience in operational and senior level management of educational, private, and public sector computing. This experience includes excellent personnel management and team-building skills, course development, classroom instruction, and hands-on work in telecommunications, instructional support (academic) computing, networking technologies, telecommunications, management of information systems, and in operating systems. These ideas and work have been recognized through publication and adoption by national organizations, educational institutions and government agencies.
