For more than 80 years, the Vinson Institute has worked with public officials throughout Georgia and around the world to improve governance and people's lives. From Georgia's early days as a largely agrarian state with a modest population to its modern-day status as a national and international force in business, industry, and politics with a population of almost 10 million, the Institute has helped government leaders navigate change and forge strong directions for a better Georgia.

M. Chrissy Marlowe

Public Service Assistant
Governmental Training, Education, and Development

Chrissy Marlowe instructs local elected officials and staff as well as members of boards, authorities, and commissions in such areas as comprehensive planning, quality growth, and historic preservation. She also teaches a variety of classes in the Management Development Program. Her prior experience includes 11 years with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, where she encouraged planning, strategic land use, and community design principles and conducted educational programs for elected officials and planning professionals.
