For more than 80 years, the Vinson Institute has worked with public officials throughout Georgia and around the world to improve governance and people's lives. From Georgia's early days as a largely agrarian state with a modest population to its modern-day status as a national and international force in business, industry, and politics with a population of almost 10 million, the Institute has helped government leaders navigate change and forge strong directions for a better Georgia.

Yvonne Mensa-Wilmot

Yvonne Mensa-Wilmot joined the Vinson Institute in 2010. She is an evaluation specialist who works with clients inside and outside the Institute to develop evaluation and assessment projects.

Before coming to the Institute, Mensa-Wilmot worked at the Georgia Department of Human Resources, Division of Public Health as a member of the evaluation and reporting team. There, she monitored performance measures, provided technical assistance, and evaluated statewide chronic disease prevention and health promotion programs. Prior to this experience, she worked at the University of Georgia’s Center for Family Research.

Her research interests include implementation of prevention and health promotion programs, program evaluation, and survey research methodology.
