Public Service Associate

Skip Teaster joined the UGA Fanning Institute as a public service associate in January 2006 and came to the Vinson Institute in 2012. He currently serves as a public service associate, providing instruction and facilitation to local development and public authority board members as well as other customized training. He was assistant director of facilities at the UGA Fanning Institute and has previous experience as a chamber president, development authority executive director and human resources/training director in a national healthcare insurance provider. Skip has business development experience in for-profit and not-for-profit hospital corporations. He is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) and a Professional Community Economic Developer (PCED) and has completed the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Management (IOM). He is an adjunct faculty member of the IEDC Basic Economic Development Course.

Areas of expertise: community economic development, chambers of commerce, strategic planning, healthcare planning and development, public boards and development authorities.
