For more than 80 years, the Vinson Institute has worked with public officials throughout Georgia and around the world to improve governance and people's lives. From Georgia's early days as a largely agrarian state with a modest population to its modern-day status as a national and international force in business, industry, and politics with a population of almost 10 million, the Institute has helped government leaders navigate change and forge strong directions for a better Georgia.

As public relations coordinator at the Vinson Institute, Ms. Yarbrough promotes the image and mission of the Institute and helps create awareness among clients of its diverse services and assistance. She conceptualizes and produces a wide variety of multimedia informational projects, including videos and tutorials. She generates much of the Institute’s Web content and keeps it timely and relevant to users; publishes Newsworthy, the Institute’s quarterly e-newsletter; and maintains its social media presence on Facebook. She also writes press releases and maintains contacts with the media.

Ms. Yarbrough served as Program Coordinator for Professional Development at Dalton State College, where she coordinated and publicized professional training programs for business and industry prior to joining the Institute in 2008.
