For more than 80 years, the Vinson Institute has worked with public officials throughout Georgia and around the world to improve governance and people's lives. County commissioners can prepare to excel by enhancing their knowledge and governing skills through the Certified Commissioner Advanced Program (CCAP) offered by the Vinson Institute and the Association County Commissioners of Georgia. This program is designed for commissioners who have already completed the Commissioners Training Program and want to further increase their proficiency and expertise in crucial functions of county government. Participants learn about navigating litigation, gain an in-depth understanding of county government finance, sharpen leadership skills, delve into the realm of tax policy, and enhance knowledge and application of many other skills essential to their work.
