Feature — State Leadership Training
State leaders at all career phases—from new managers to seasoned administrators—can gain the tools essential for personal and organizational success through Georgia Leadership Institute programs offered by the Vinson Institute in partnership with the State Personnel Administration.
These four intensive training programs—Executive Leadership, Introduction to Leadership, Leading Others, and Leading Organizations—help participants strengthen essential leadership skills as well as learn to handle organizational challenges and develop effective work teams.
Through the Executive Leadership program, Georgia's state agency administrators learn strategies and tools to shape organizational excellence in the ever-changing public service environment.
Introduction to Leadership focuses on personal leadership skills development and is designed for newer front-line managers and staff who have been identified for their leadership potential.
Leading Others helps supervisors who are already actively involved in the delivery of state services learn the skills for developing successful work teams.
Leading Organizations curriculum is set up to equip middle-level managers with the tools needed to be active participants in major organizational processes.
All classes are conveniently located in the Twin Towers Building in downtown Atlanta, and participants can earn continuing education units.
