About Us

For more than 80 years, the Vinson Institute has worked with public officials throughout Georgia and around the world to improve governance and people's lives. From Georgia's early days as a largely agrarian state with a modest population to its modern-day status as a national and international force in business, industry, and politics with a population of almost 10 million, the Institute has helped government leaders navigate change and forge strong directions for a better Georgia.

Feature — Master of Public Administration Program

Students interested in careers in the public service arena—including administration and management at all levels of government and nonprofit organizations—are able to reach their goals with the help of the Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program. The Vinson Institute supports the program in various ways, including classroom instruction, assistantships and internships, and job placement.

The most recent survey from U.S. News and World Report ranked the University of Georgia's MPA program as fourth in the nation among all programs and second in the nation at public colleges and universities.
