Feature — Special Topic Workshops
Special topic workshops focus on maximizing the potential of managers and supervisors in a current position or preparing them for greater responsibility in the future. The courses cover a wide range of subjects, from public speaking to project management. This variety allows a government to customize its own curriculum by combining the courses that fulfill its most pressing staff training needs.
Responding to organizational change, customer service, managing conflict, coaching and discipline strategies, public speaking, media relations, staff motivation, and ethics are just a few out of dozens of possibilities included in the Institute’s special topics course offerings.
The Institute can tailor training for different levels of managers and supervisors. It can also conduct training onsite in a one-, two-, or three-day format, depending on a government’s wishes.
