The Georgia Executive Leadership Development Program is a unique program that develops the talent and potential of leaders at the highest levels of Georgia’s state government. While other states may engage in various elements of the ELDP, no other state has made such a rigorous and intensive commitment to its high-potential employees as has Georgia.

The ELDP curriculum is anchored in three core elements:

1. Comprehensive assessment
2. Individual coaching
3. A challenge-centered leadership development process

Participants receive education and information in the following subject areas:

  • Negotiation
  • Leading and Managing Change
  • Alliances and Collaboration
  • Reengineering Work and Jobs
  • Performance Disciplines for Small Groups
  • Government in a World of Markets, Networks, and Organizations

  • Using Stories to Drive Change
  • Early Wins/Momentum
  • Performance Management

Registration: By invitation only. Participants are nominated by their agency head, whose recommendation is confirmed by the Governor's office and the State Personnel Administration.
