The International Center has partnered with the Liberian Institute of Public Administration (LIPA), the Liberian Judicial College, and Cuttington University to assist with governance reform work in Liberia. Six University of Georgia faculty and staff traveled to Liberia in 2008 to provide needs assessment and training for the Liberian legislature, the judiciary, and the Ministry of Planning. The International Center will be working closely with LIPA over the next three years to enhance their training capacity in response to legislative, executive, and local government training needs.
