Undergraduate Internships
Undergraduates who have an interest in international affairs and a strong academic background are being sought for the Center’s internship program, which involves support to faculty and staff in

  • organizing events,
  • facilitating visits by international officials to the University of Georgia for training, and
  • assisting with policy research and international outreach activities.

The internship is a unique opportunity for service-learning and for serving as an ambassador of the university. A commitment of at least eight hours per week is required as well as strong skills in communication and organization. Students with foreign language skills are especially encouraged to apply.

There are limited opportunities for interns to travel internationally with the Center. In the past, student interns have had the opportunity to travel to China in support of the Center’s training programs there, but funding no longer permits student travel.

The deadline for applications for the 2009 Fall Semester Internship Program is September 5, 2009.
