Public officials worldwide can gain valuable knowledge and skills to transition their country to more efficient and accountable government. Grounded in principles of good governance, the International Center’s comprehensive public management educational programs are designed to meet diverse needs.
 
Rural Economic Development
Countries in political and economic development transition—especially those with border security issues, food security issues, cultural security issues, energy security issues, and/or water security issues—often are faced with the challenge of how to maintain rural populations and stimulate rural economic growth. Most often, the answers to many of these challenges lie in developing effective policies. The International Center provides training, applied research, and direct assistance to countries in development transition and assist in providing solutions that promote sustainable rural development.
