EXCEL Leadership Program

Department of Labor (DOL) supervisors and promising first-time leaders learn to develop strategies for working within the state's political, social, and economic arenas in the Executive Commitment to Excellence in Leadership (EXCEL) program. EXCEL is an agencywide leadership development initiative consisting of four three-day sessions that prepare DOL employees for both today's realities and the challenges of the future.

Participants graduate from the program with a management "toolbox" that helps them foster relationships, encourage workforce quality, and create broad visions consistent with agency missions. Key course topics include multirater feedback, conflict management, and organizational effectiveness.
