"Let THEM Tell You Where to Cut" was the title of an educational session moderated by Vinson Institute faculty member Harry Hayes at the 2009 annual conference of the National Association of Counties (NACo). Panelists explained how counties that are struggling to provide services are engaging the public to provide input through such means as surveys, blogs, and meetings.

Rich Clark, director of the Institute's Survey Research Unit, was a panelist along with Mark Belton, administrator for Page County, Virginia, and Brenda Hayes, faculty member with the University of Georgia's Fanning Institute.
