Members of the General Assembly acquire and enhance the knowledge and skills critical for governing the state through programs that reflect the Institute's long-standing commitment to serving the legislature. The nationally recognized Biennial Institute for Georgia Legislators provides both an in-depth orientation for new lawmakers and timely policy sessions for all attendees. The Legislative Leadership Institute is especially designed to help newer senators and representatives identify and nurture their leadership abilities. Special training requests are promptly handled through the Vinson Institute's satellite office near the Capitol.
