Happy Anniversary: Cobb County officials joined with faculty from the Carl Vinson Institute of Government on February 3 to celebrate the anniversary of 20 consecutive years of the Institute’s Management Development Program being conducted for the county. The occasion was marked by the presentation of certificates to the 2004-2005 graduating class.

“We are extremely gratified to be able to continue to provide this leadership development program for so many Cobb supervisory and management personnel,” notes Gordon Maner, coordinator of the Institute's local government training. In his remarks, David Hankerson, county manager, commended the Institute for diversifying the curriculum over the years in response to the county’s changing instructional needs. He also acknowledged the very high retention rate among the EXCEL program graduates.
