International Center to sponsor visit by Global Partners for Development director

The International Center for Democratic Governance (ICDG) and the Office of Service- Learning are coordinating a visit to the University of Georgia by Peter Verbiscar-Brown, executive director of Global Partners for Development. Brown's organization, which was presented with the 2006 Albert Schweitzer Award for Humanitarian Development, focuses on grassroots partnerships with communities in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda, especially in the areas of water purification and management, HIV/AIDS, and girls' education efforts. The visit is scheduled for April 9-11.
