Allison McWilliams, Rachel Hagues, and Melinda Williams of the Institute's Child and Family Policy Initiative recently gave a presentation on the business of human trafficking during the first Women and Girls in Georgia Conference held October 12-14 at the University of Georgia. Their presentation provided an overview of current Georgia and national statistics and policies related to the extent of human trafficking, as well as some recommendations for policy and future research. The inaugural statewide conference brought together researchers and practitioners and was sponsored by the university's Women's Studies Program.
