The university-wide Child and Family Policy Initiative coordinated by the Vinson Institute is actively involved in planning a symposium to explore issues surrounding childhood and the criminal justice system.
The October 2008 program to be held in Athens will draw participants from throughout the state to examine current research and policy on how children are entering the prison pipeline. Research-based and best-practice proposals are being solicited. [Details]
