Vinson Institute officials recently traveled to China’s Jiangxi Province to join with officials there in recognizing the fifth anniversary of the China Public Manager Training Program in the region. More than 80 mid-level managers from Jiangxi Province have participated in the program, which is carried out in partnership with the Jiangxi Administration Institute.

The June 14 ceremony was attended by nearly 50 people. Representing the Vinson Institute were Steve Wrigley, Jennifer Frum, Mike Beck, Haixia Xu, and Jianfeng Wang. Also attending were officials from the Jiangxi Administration Institute, Jiangxi provincial government representatives, and past trainees, some of whom offered remarks on the value of their training experiences. Representing the University of Georgia was Laura Meadows, associate vice president for economic development, who also served as a guest lecturer. Wrigley, Vinson Institute director, and Beck, the Vinson Institute’s International Center director, also met with Jiangxi Administration Institute officials about future training needs.
