Erroll Davis, chancellor of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, was on hand to present graduation certificates to the 20-member inaugural PINNACLE Program class during a ceremony held at the Vinson Institute on October 15, 2008. The program is administered by the Vinson Institute in partnership with the Georgia Public Library Service.

"The participants representing libraries throughout the state showed their professionalism and desire to enhance their leadership skills as they very actively engaged in class discussions, projects, and mentorships over the course of 10 months. They will certainly contribute to the ability of Georgia's libraries to serve the public today and in the future," said Walt McBride, Vinson Institute faculty member coordinating the instructional program.
