For more than 80 years, the Vinson Institute has worked with public officials throughout Georgia and around the world to improve governance and people's lives. Rusty Brooks has been named new director of the Vinson Institute's International Center.

Brooks has been a faculty member of the International Center since 1999. He has been actively involved in the center's outreach activities in China, Africa, and Eastern Europe, primarily in the areas of sustainable economic development and public management.

Since its establishment in 1998, the International Center has helped nations in transition achieve more effective governance through a wide range of public administration instruction and assistance.
