All orders must be prepaid or submitted on purchase orders. The Institute encourages its customers to use the online ordering system, as this is a secure method of performing a credit card transaction. If, however, you wish to place your order by phone, mail or FAX (purchase orders only; credit cards not accepted for FAX orders) please feel free to do so.

Publications returned in salable condition will be accepted for refund up to 90 days after shipment date. To prepare a return, please contact Karen Pou.
Bookstores Only: Textbooks published by the Carl Vinson Institute of Government and purchased by bookstores may be returned in salable condition for refund only up to one year from date of invoice. No credits will be issued or applied to outstanding invoices. The applicable invoice for a return shipment must be paid in full, or return will not be accepted. Returns should be packaged carefully to ensure receipt of publications in salable condition. No refunds will be given for books received damaged.
The Carl Vinson Institute of Government is required to collect sales tax on all orders shipped to Georgia addresses. The sales tax rate charged is that in place in the recipient's county at the time the order is filled. If you have questions or comments regarding this policy, please contact Karen Pou.
A copy of any Institute publication will be sent on a 60-day review basis. Requests for exam copies must be sent on letterhead and include course name, name of individual requesting publication, and address. If the publication is selected for class use, the exam copy is free. Publications not returned by the end of the 60-day period will be invoiced.
This policy does not apply to K-12 educational materials.

For each visitor to the Carl Vinson Institute of Government's Web site, our Web server automatically recognizes only that information that is collected in access logs: domain name, browser, operating system, referrer, and pages visited in the cviog.uga.edu domain. This aggregate information is used to analyze the use of the Vinson Institute's Web site and make improvements. No personally identifiable information is collected merely by browsing the Web site.
Information submitted through the Vinson Institute online store is confidential and will not be shared with any third party and will not be used for any purpose that is not requested by the user volunteering the information. This information is protected from unauthorized access. Information is not knowingly collected from minors.
Financial information volunteered by users purchasing items from the Vinson Institute online store is submitted directly to First Data Corporation and is never handled in any manner by the Vinson Institute.
