Bio:
Karen designs and conducts evaluations and research studies with the Institute of Government’s survey research and evaluation unit. Prior to joining the Institute in 2017, she served as director of the Program Evaluation Group in the UGA College of Education and was responsible for evaluation and research projects from diverse funders, including the U.S. Departments of Health and Human Services, Education, Agriculture and Defense and the National Science Foundation. In addition to evaluation and research, Dr. DeMeester has a background in business and communications and has over 20 years of experience as a financial, program and policy analyst in the areas of healthcare, social services and education.
