The University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute of Government recently released EV102: A Georgia Guide to Electric Fleet Management, a practical resource designed to help local governments evaluate when and how electric vehicles can be integrated into public fleets.
The guidebook was developed following feedback from local government officials through the Institute’s 2025 Plug Into Georgia workshops and webinars.
The publication provides a step-by-step framework for government leaders to inventory their existing fleets, evaluate vehicle missions, analyze total cost of ownership, plan charging infrastructure, and manage operational and policy changes associated with electrification.
