Certified Government Chief Information Officer

We have partnered with Georgia Government Management Information Sciences (GA GMIS) to offer program certification for qualified professionals through online and in-person classes, independent assignments and a capstone project.

 

The Certified Government Chief Information Officer™ (CGCIO™) focuses on

  • emerging technologies

  • interpersonal communication

  • security

  • project and resource management

  • ethics

  • sustainability

  • contract management

  • other related topics


Due to the collaboration with the GA GMIS, the in-person classes will be arranged during the semi-annual GA GMIS conferences. Participation in the in-person classes is required.


Requirements for acceptance into the program

    1. minimum of five years of public or private managerial experience in the technology field

    2. minimum four-year degree from an accredited institution of higher learning

    3. agree by signature to a self-enforced code of ethics

    4. at least one letter of support/approval for participation from manager/supervisor or city or county leader

    5. completion of formal application stating why you want to enroll in this program, what you bring to the class and your expectations (application form will be provided)

    6. ability to pay tuition in full upon acceptance/registration
