The Institute has posted a series of free webinars to help communities respond to the fiscal crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Offered with support from AT&T, our Navigating Fiscal Crisis webinars cover making ends meet against revenue shortfalls, tools for budgeting and analyzing the economy, planning for cashflow, short-term funding strategies and communicating difficult financial decisions.

Local government managers and leaders will benefit from the knowledge and tools shared by Institute of Government faculty with a combined 75 years of experience in local government finance and economic development.

The series opens with Economic and Budgeting Tools for Local Governments, discussing the tools the Institute has produced to help local governments understand the impact of the fiscal crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Following webinars include financial topics of interest to communities, including cashflow, short-term funding strategies and communicating about fiscal challenges in difficult times.
